Never been to Prom before?

THE PEOPLE'S PROM is the prom you never had in high school: it's a radical, community-oriented, anti-capitalist, queer, cross-dressing, gender bending, bike loving, slow dancing, big dress wearing, good time. It's annual, it's in East Van, and it's a fundraiser for creative resistance and direct action in BC... AND THE BEST DANCE PARTY YOU’LL EVER MAKE OUT AT.

You don't need a date for this dance party, just a good attitude and a party outfit... Have a date? Bring them!

Want to apply for funds? Check out the People's Trust Fund page for more info. peoplesprom@resist.ca We donate every cent we make.

i find myself in the dubious position of once again (i've done it several years in a row) noting that the People's Prom is not being held in an accessible space. i mentioned this some time ago and heard nothing back. No one even bothered to note on the website or FB even the most basic accessibility information. This is not a "People's Prom", this is a "Some People's Prom". This is not radical, this is status quo. And really disappointing.
